So I have a beauty guru channel on youtube and I really want to do a Halloween makeup tutorial but the problem is, I have no idea what to do a tutorial on! I wasn’t to sure what I wanted to dress up as. Because of my situation I didn’t have much choice except for a womens costume with a stomach showing. I just found an old black shirt, painted my favorite number on the front and back, bought sweat pants to match, got high white socks and painted a stripe up the sides. wore my black shoes and put my hair in pigtails. My nephew played ball so the bat came in handy!
My sister painted a baseball on my tummy and of course I wanted my soon to be son’s name on it so she put his name and #1. I was so happy with my costume I got lots of compliments! I made the hat out of a laundry basket covered with poster board and a sash. If you look carefully you can see tiny eye holes. I wore a button down cotton sweater on my hips- filled the arms with stuffing and added gloves in place of my hands (my real arms were in the hat!). This womens costume took maybe an hour to make! I bought a towel rack and spray painted that also.
What you need for this is 3 large poster boards, a man’s jacket that will fit around your hips (goodwill or thrift store is a great place to find it) yarn for the hair and either flesh colored fabric or a flesh colored tight fitting shirt. The easiest way to make it is to use the flesh colored shirt and draw a face on it. If you are not pregnant you can use a pillow under the shirt. To make the hat you take two of the poster boards and tape them together to make a cylinder. The third is cut up to make a brim and taped to the hat. Cut two holes for your eyes and disguise them with the center of a flower. Attach hair to either the hat or the shirt with tape or stapler. When you put the hat on your arms are actually folded up in front of your chest helping to hold the hat up. The jacket is buttoned around your hips. Yuck!

In case you don’t live in Southern California, every year it is the goal of Knott’s Scary Farm Haunt to scare the pants off you! Like, literally. And if you have been and survived, then you know how freaky and realistic the monsters are, thanks to the talented makeup artists like Denise. She’s personally been a part of Knott’s Halloween Haunt for 24 years. She started as talent (Fortune Telling ) in her first years, then moved on as Talent Captain for mazes and was a street monster in Ghost Town for 8 years. If anyone knows scary, it’s her!
Colored Contacts. This is what I look like with Fairy Princess Eyes, courtesy of EyesBright in the UK. Changing your eye color like you change your lipstick isn’t exactly a thing yet, but it probably will be. The first thing I wondered when I put these contacts in was “do I need more makeup?” but I wanted to compare them to my everyday look, so that’s what you get here. The effect is pretty cool, though it’s more of a night look for full color changes, since the colored part of the lenses have to be opaque (and my pupils aren’t all that dilated during the day).

The collection is available through the end of the month at MAC stores. Remove face paint according to the manufacturer’s instructions on the package. Otherwise use a good makeup remover for the face and an eye makeup remover for around the eyes. These products are formulated to dissolve makeup ingredients. Removers that work for waterproof or long-lasting products would be good choices. Using an actual remover made for this purpose will also prevent you from having to rub too hard to remove the makeup and further irritate the skin. Thoroughly cleanse the skin to make sure all traces of makeup are removed to avoid clogging the pores and causing breakouts.
For white swan make-up, you will need stick-on gems and glitter. You can find these at Michael’s. I began by completely covering the eyelid in silver shadow. I used white eye shadow to highlight the brow bone, inner corners of the eye and under the bottom lashes. I used a dark gray on the arch of the eye and black on the outer corners to create a smoky eye. Next, add eyeliner and the fake lashes. With the gems, I used the smallest size to line the top of the eye, on top of the eyeliner. I then used the largest gems all around the eye.
The other look which I called bloody, creepy doll was developed out of the one before. So the basis of this is the same as what I explained in the text above. The pale/white skin, black eyes and hollow cheeks stay the same. Now here’s what I changed about it. First of course I made my lips a little bit darker by adding the lipcream mixed with black eyeshadow. Then I drew blood running down my cheeks symbolizing tears made out of blood, also with the red lipcream which I also put onto my lashes. That’s it, to be honest. It’s not that difficult, is it?
